Imported SVG issue when editing it

Hi,

 

a bit nervous!

i imported an svg into my document, but it behaved like an image. So I double clicked it and suddenly it seemed like it opened a new document with the svg being editable. All of my existing vector disappeared.

I don’t know what happened and dont want to go back to the gallery until I know what’s going on. 

quick response would be appreciated 

EDIT:

ok, I experimented in AD v1 and found out how it works. Never mind.
