Colored Bullets

Recommended Posts

Hi,

can someone please help me? I am using affinity publisher v2. I love this software; however, my issue is that I was creating colorful bullet points in my book while the text is black, I would simply make a bullet point in the paragraph panel and then add a character style to it, but now all my bullets have reverted to black and I cannot change it. Every time I try to change the text, the bullet points change with it. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. here a screen shot of my screen.

You need to define a Character Text Style for the bullet. Then, in the Bullets and Numbering section in the Paragraph panel, or in the Paragraph Text Style that you're using for the bulleted list, you need to specify that Character Style for the Bullet. If you don't specify a Character Style for the bullet specifically, it inherits the style of the first text character of the paragraph.

THANK YOU!! I feel silly now, but I am totally new to this software. I have 700 pages written with pictures and diagrams that are linked. Affinity publishers have held up pretty well. Thanks again, you saved me.
