  5. Hello Walt, I honestly do not know how to provide a sample for you. (yes I am a complete novice), but what I did to create the footer: on the master page I went into text>insert>fields>section name. Then I created section names for each chapter. I hope I am explaining this right. sorry for my bad English. here is a view of it on the master.
  6. Hello again everyone, I thought I had this figured out, Maybe I did something wrong. I have included a screenshot of what I did. I created a footer with the section name and thought I followed everyone's advance perfectly, but I still have problems. How do I make the left side of the page say "Chapter 1" and the right side say only "Sewing Basics"? I know I can create different section names, but I want the right side of the page to say something different. Please, any help will be greatly appreciated. I am a total newbie here. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thanks in advance.

I know this could be something simple that I am missing, but could someone kindly help me figure out why I cannot export my file with a transparent background in Affinity Designer v2? When I try to export the file as a transparent background, I see that the "matte" has a white color in it, but I do not know how to set that to none. I am not sure if this is the problem is or not. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

  17. Hello everyone! Can someone please look at this screenshot of my work and tell me what I am doing wrong with this table of contents? I deleted the first table of contents and try to start over again. I did create a style for it as well. Some of the fonts have leaders and some do not. As you can see there is still a lot that has to be done to it but I cannot move on because I am stuck. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thank you.

  21. Hi, can someone please help me? I am using affinity publisher v2. I love this software; however, my issue is that I was creating colorful bullet points in my book while the text is black, I would simply make a bullet point in the paragraph panel and then add a character style to it, but now all my bullets have reverted to black and I cannot change it. Every time I try to change the text, the bullet points change with it. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. here a screen shot of my screen.
  22. Phew! Thank you so much it fixed the problem. Learning is fun but it can sure get frustrating at times . ☺️ Thanks again.
