Designer crashes multiple times when selecting color

I've been working on a logo today and it has crashed about 7 times in 4 hours. The crash occurs when I select a shape and pick a color - the color doesn't apply until you click the color on the pallete, and right when I click that, it crashes.

Hi @mcholmanand Welcome to the Forums,

Which version of MacOS are you running?  I'm not getting a crash here when I try this on MacOS 13.2.1 Could you check for a crash report and attach that?  You can find the crash reports by reading this post.
