hi folks

any idea why this is happening ,

when printing I have to go into printer options and choose paper type and colour profile

every time I print !

it seems to revert back to gloss paper and printer controls colour

even if I change settings then save them as a printer preset

it does not stay so I have to go back into printer option and change the setting for every print

very annoying

is this a printer drive problem or affinity

I use an epson p800 and p6000 printer and it happens on both

Hey @dublbutted,

This has come up previously regarding recalling print pre-sets on Ventura failing to retain the set options on the pre-set, and looks like an issue with Ventura rather than Affinity as this also happens across other apps that use the MacOS Print Menu framework, such as preview. I've linked the relevant thread below.

Hi, I am having the same issue with my print presets not saving in AF2 Designer, the title is there but none of the settings are saved within the preset.

I am using OSX 14.4.1. Sonoma. It's very annoying, is there a fix for this please?

Hi @retrogem,

You could try removing your printer(s) via System Settings > Printers, rebooting and then re-installing a fresh version of your print driver from the manufacturers website and then trying again to see if this allows the preset settings to save and recall correctly. However, there have been issues reported with user defined presets failing to recall correctly in Ventura and Sonoma with certain settings being omitted from the recalled preset or it failing entirely. This isn't specific to Affinity's print dialog, I've linked a couple of apple discussion threads below for reference.
