NotMyFault Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 There is often a small difference between advertised pixel count (like 6000x4000 for most 24 Mpix sensors) and actual number of pixels which are usually a bit higher. While most apps show the advertised pixel count, Affinity shows the real number of pixels, and makes these available for edit. These extra pixels are cropped off by most apps (except Photo) to get the rounded numbers and exact aspect rations of 4:3, 3:2, 16:9. Personally i don‘t like this interpretation by Affinity, as it leads to confusion about aspect ratio when cropping images. Technically, its „by design“.
