Anmalo Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 534 / 5.000 Hello The designer is very well done. I'm working with Corel X7 but I can't measure a drawn rectangle. I'm also a bit older and I'm having a hard time switching from Corel Draw to Designer. Is the designer really a replacement for Corel? Unfortunately I couldn't find anything online how to do a measurement. I guess I'll have to continue working with Corel... the only question is how long this will be possible, I definitely don't want a subscription anymore. Unfortunately I have a lot of drawings... You asked how you measure something. You did not ask how you add the measurement to the design. Those are two different things. If you need the measurement added to the design, that function is not yet available. Perhaps it will be one day. v_kyr Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 If you want a measurement which can be glued into the design, then you can try out instead LibreOffice Draw which offers this feature. Anmalo Posted February 14, 2023 Author Posted February 14, 2023 (edited) Many thanks for the valuable tips.Yes, sorry, I phrased it a bit imprecisely. I think I'll use freecad, then I'll have 3D and technical drawings at the same time. I will try Libre on the second pc, thanks. I had been updating Micrografs Designer for years, but Corel bought it up and pimped Corel Draw with it and now it's messed up with a subscription and way too expensive for a private person. The home and student version is now no longer usable because almost everything that was usable has been deactivated. I never needed 3D in Corel, t was only about 2D constructions for my hobby. regards Edited February 14, 2023 by Anmalo Quote
