publisher 2.0.4 shortcuts (screen sizes) ; French macOS ; extended azerty keyboard

Before we start, I must say I didn't change anything concerning shortcuts, all is standard…

All apps are 2.0.4.

In photo 2 we can use the numerical keys on the right of the extended keyboard to get some shortcuts actions (cmd-0 => screen size ; cmd-1 => 100% ; cmd-2 => 200% ; cmd-3 => 400% ; etc…) even though there are not indicated in the menu, and that is great !

In designer 2 it is the same thing and it is great again !

BUT in publisher 2, it isn't the same !! I cannot use cmd-0 ; cmd-1 ; cmd-2 ; etc… and I noticed the shortcut menu is different…

Very annoying I think… and is that ok or is it a bug ?

Hi, Laurent. I think you might have modified those shortcuts. The screenshot below shows the standard shortcuts for Publisher 2 in French with a French keyboard which you'll see are virtually identical to Designer and Photo. All the Cmd+1, 2, 3, 4 shortcuts work fine. Try resetting your shortcuts back to the Serif defaults.

Mind you, I tested this in the 2.0.3 beta in French which I still have installed since I was in the middle of something in 2.0.4, so there's the odd chance something changed.

Cheers

I will try that… and let you know…

I'm not sure to understand the expression "mind you" ; is it like "note…" or "I must say…" ?

My strange publisher 2 shortcuts are those installed with 2.0.4 and I didn't change any of them…

OK @MikeTO, I did the reset and I've got the standard shortcuts back (but I confirm again that I had never done any changes myself).

We will see if they get modified again… ?

Now I have :

And in the prefs :

image.png.5062a1f5c599904818422bebf7320155.png

I think it's apple that changes ⌘1 (in the prefs) to ⌘& (in the menu) ?

This might be a little confusing… ?

After my shortcuts reset, I get back :

It's not good !!

Anybody on Mac knows what that sequence does, it's apple's standard shortcuts…

How can a shortcuts reset throw in "warning" sequences like that one ?

I took a look at the other shortcuts I get after reset and in "standard" I get other conflicts…

I don't understand why such conflicts are there, right from the start, after a reset ?

Also, I don't understand why we have identical items lines in :

and :

Isn't it weird ?

I believe this is a known issue. The problem is that the default shortcut is Cmd+\ and on a French keyboard that works out to Cmd+'. Affinity needs to remap the shortcut to the \ key on a French keyboard. I suggest remapping this shortcut yourself.

All the other screenshots you showed are of the duplicate Emoji and Full Screen commands in Preferences > Shortcuts. That's a known bug with the Mac version and been around since v1, it's present in all languages. But it's harmless, just ignore it, there is no impact to the actual menus or shortcuts. These are macOS-level commands and for some reason the shortcut editor has duplicates of them.

Cheers

Oh no, not that key : we don't have it in standard, to get \ we have to enter option-shift-/ !!
