Thanks for the extra information – a search for 3D PDF let me find out more.

The Affinity applications can’t handle 3D stuff so I’m pretty sure they can’t handle PDFs which contain 3D stuff.

Various kinds of 3D functionalities have been requested many times but Serif haven’t given any reason for us to think that it might possibly be implemented at any point. (Never say never, but highly unlikely from what I have read.)

Note: The Affinity applications can’t handle interactivity in PDFs either, so even if they could read the 3D PDFs properly – maybe rasterising the contents – they wouldn’t be able to produce anything containing interactive stuff, such as 3D models, etc.

For the time being I will use the solution of a hyperlink. In my design i create a button to a 3d pdf. When exported to pdf the 2 files are connected.

Which app did you create this 3D-PDF?
