minol Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Hi. In my project I have for example 001, 002... and I name the objects with sequential numbers and switch between displaying them using smart states. The smart state has a regular expression (. *001, etc.) to the layer names, so that different variations can be created depending on the state. To work smoothly, you need as many smart states as there are sequential numbers. In other words, there are many smart states. If you want to use this operation in another document, you have to manually create the smart states again. This is very tedious. Are there any plans to support export and import of smart states? walt.farrell Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 You can have States without having any Layers. So, you can already: Create a new document Define the States you want Export the document as a Template After that, you can start a new project using that Template, and it will have the States pre-defined. However, there isn't a way to copy States from one document to another that I can see, so this approach is limited to working with new documents. So yes, having an export/import function would be nice. But perhaps the Template idea will help you for now. minol Posted February 3, 2023 Author Posted February 3, 2023 You are right. As you say, this method is inconvenient when working with existing documents. As one of the future possibilities, an import and export function would be nice. Thank you. walt.farrell 1 Quote
