I know you are going to say turn stroke off. I have already done this. I have also swapped stroke with fill and it does not go away please help.

Those aren't strokes but snapping candidates. - These are showing you the snapping candidates and they are not visible by default. If you go to the Snapping options, you'll see there's a checkbox that says 'Show snapping candidates' - just uncheck that and they'll go away.
