KerstenB Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Dear Affinity support team, when editing SVG files and exporting the result as PNG, we noticed that the PNGs have the pHYs section set: https://www.w3.org/TR/2003/REC-PNG-20031110/#11pHYs In our case: pixel_units: meters pixels_per_unit_x: 5669 pixels_per_unit_y: 5669 As we use Affinity Designer for designing icons for several applications, this section must not be set (plain pixel grapic). Some controls of our applications (WPF/WinForms) have problems rendering the PNGs (DPI/scaling issues) when the pHYs section is set. We already tried several exporting options. Ideally, we would export as PNG-8 (dithered) with no ICC profiles embedded and without metadata to achieve the smallest possible file size. Is this a bug or are there any options we missed? With kind regards, Kersten Quote
Staff Gabe Posted January 31, 2023 Staff Posted January 31, 2023 Hi, I'm afraid there is no way to disable pHYs on export. Sorry. Quote
