Scissors (knife) tool result is on same layer ?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

If i use Scissor tool and cut a curve at 2 separates places, i would expect to be able to delete the resulting line.

The problem is when i select the resulting line with Node tool, it also select all the original curve and they are on the same layer.

To delete the resulting line ,i must to right click, Geometry - Separate curves. Then the 2 lines are on separate layers

Is there a way to select it ? I don't know if i'm missing something here

Thanks

Use the shapebuilder tool, change it's action to subtract (-) and click on the bit you don't need.
