anto
It seems that first text frame creates problem. Delete it. Or better use one frame with 2 columns. 2023-08-06 13-19-59.mp4
thomaso
FWIW, it is a known, logged issue (afb-6026) with .idml imports where text frames can result with a certain 1 pt fonts size … independently of the font size applied to the containing text. b.kaas
Thank you, @anto ! I‘ll try out working with one frame with multiple columns. Thank you, @thomaso ! I am glad to hear, that this issue is is being worked on. For I did not find any report on this problem in APu V2, I considered it worth mentioning (again). But isn‘t it strange, that the irritating behaviour emerged not only in a IDML import but in a new APu document as well (see link)? However, I will set up a fresh document for the next project and hope to get rid of any IDML ghost.

As far I read in that thread it remains unclear whether the user imported an .idml into the "new document" or if text frames were resized inadvertently with the outer handle. All I can say is that I never experienced this indeed disturbing change of font size in other cases than these two. (whereas the font size change to 1 pt is quite likely not caused by dragging, especially if it appears on several pages in a document.) If it's caused by an .idml import I know as fix only the way of deleting affected frames and recreating new ones in APub. If its caused by dragging the outer handle it maybe possible to re-drag (especially if similar frames of same size exist, e.g. as reference or for snapping) or it may be easier to delete + recreate those frames too.
