On the new document dialog, the selected options are marked with a lighter backround color, but the page orientation ones are marked the opposite way. Probably it is just me, but I create all my new documents twice… first with the wromg orientation, and then with the correct one, due to this (and I am being ignorant remembering this).

Page orientation is "button" - see border around icon/text (the pressed button is darker, not so illuminated), as well as the button for switching the General option. Whereas the A4 document is one selected item in the list of all Presets. Although it's not entirely obvious (unfortunately the current Affinity GUI trend), the color of the selected item is darker than the unpressed button.
