Rectagle marquee not working correctly

When using the rectangle selection tool, it initially shows a rectangle but then quickly switches to a rounded rectangle or oval shape. When I then use the "smooth selection" (trying to "unsmooth" it) AP2 on the iPad crashes.

You have entered a value in the Feather slider on the left hand side. Set it to 0 px to make a rectangular selection.

Speaking of which, there is currently a bug with the Feather slider as I just noticed. It's been already documented, so it'll be hopefully fixed soon:

In any case you may want to avoid dragging the slider too far down so that it would display negative values – which will make Photo crash instantly. Better use the numeric input instead.

Thank you. When I lowered the Feather with the scale, the app crashed several time. But when I set it digitally as 0, it functions correctly.

The issue "Blur Live filters: setting Radius to negative values crashes app" (REF: AFP-5770) has now been fixed by the developers.
This fix is included in build 2.1.0.1706 (or later) which is already available as a customer beta and will be included in the next release.
