JodyC Posted January 20, 2023 Share Posted January 20, 2023 When using the rectangle selection tool, it initially shows a rectangle but then quickly switches to a rounded rectangle or oval shape. You have entered a value in the Feather slider on the left hand side. Set it to 0 px to make a rectangular selection. It's been already documented, so it'll be hopefully fixed soon: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&tags=AFP-5770 In any case you may want to avoid dragging the slider too far down so that it would display negative values – which will make Photo crash instantly. Better use the numeric input instead. But when I set it digitally as 0, it functions correctly. Thank you, Loukash. That is exactly what I experienced. This fix is included in build 2.1.0.1706 (or later) which is already available as a customer beta and will be included in the next release.
