Dragging layers up and down in AD V2 with trackpad stopped working

Hi. I am no longer able to drag layers up and down in the layers panel of AD V2 with my trackpad on Mac OS desktop version. I closed the document and reopened it but problem persists. I went back to V1 and created simple document of 3 shapes in different colours and reordered the layers by dragging them. It worked perfectly. I went back to V2 and recreated similar document with 3 coloured shapes but can’t drag them. Have I got a different setting in V2.  I can’t see a difference in Preferences.

Very strange, works perfectly on my Mac Mini and even on my iPad version with trackpad on the magic keyboard.

I assume it still works with a mouse attached or is that the same?

Did you check if restarting your Mac made any difference?

Thank you Paul. Your suggestion worked. Restarting my Mac has done the trick and restored dragging layers within the Layers Panel. I had tried a few things including new batteries in the magic trackpad, but not a restart. It should have been an obvious thing to try but you know what it's like after a few hours at the screen, especially when it works in V1. I do appreciate your prompt help. Best wishes. Mike
