Export as svg file - results not good

Created a large pic, 4ft x 2ft, wanting to experiment with scalability.  All work done in Designer persona.  Did use textured brushes. Exported SVG file is butchered.  Lookin’ for some schoolin’ on the subject matter…. Wondering if it’s because of the brushes, or whut….

Exporting as SVG is important to me, so I have been G-searching this issue…and apparently it is yet another one of those gotchas that I keep finding with Affinity Designer.  And I was so hopeful.  
 

It’s quite like Serif has built a fine 20 bedroom mansion, invited all of us to party…but didn’t put any toilet paper in the 26 bathrooms.  So I’m hiking my butt up over the sink.
 

Correct me if I am wrong, PLEASE, but exporting as SVG from Designer appears to be buggy and unreliable for any design that goes beyond simple.   God help me, but I don’t want to give the monopolistic autocrats at Adobe any more of my money, but….sheeze.

I'd like to request a copy of your .afdesign file in order to further investigate this - can you please attach a copy of this here for me?

When exporting to SVG, what settings are you using?

How are you viewing/editing the exported SVG file, that shows these errors after exporting?

I have this problem too, I have tried so many setting issues and svg never works, 

layers are missing art boards dont open properly, what good is svg if you only save half the file. not to mention I cannot even export simple svg for use with a cricut machine. I know sometimes fonts are missing and that can be an issue but that should be easily correctable and it never is …

I have tried every save setting configuration I can think of and it still never works.
