Grumpy Hec
I pretty sure I know the answer to this but I may have missed something so here goes. Is there a way of making export default to using the source folder automatically rather than having to browse? The reason for asking is that I want to create a macro that a) saves in affinity format as normal and b) saves a full size JPG along with it to the same source folder. This, if you haven't guessed already, is to enable any DAM to see a decent size image, which reflects any work done in AP2, rather than just, at best, a small thumbnail in those DAMs which show even that. cheers Hec
MikeTO
Sadly no. I'm always saving and exporting things to the wrong folders. If there was a pinned thread for this feature request it would probably be almost as long as the footnotes thread was! Grumpy Hec
Thanks Mike. Thought that was the case but worth asking just in case.

Macros cannot record saves or exports But File > New Batch Job has the option "Save into Original Location" So, you could process your already saved APhoto files to create JPG versions in the same folder File > New Batch Job supports File filtering for the source files (e.g. *.afphoto) and will process sub-folders. So, if your APhoto documents are all accessible within/beneath a top-level folder structure you will only need to run one batch job to process all your APhoto documents Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

That sounds worth exploring. Many, many thanks for that steer.
