webgenie Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 In version 1 I can export in a dozen different formats but in version 2 the only option is png, nothing else. Quote
GarryP Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 Welcome to the forums @webgenie Try changing the file type in the field further up in the window (just below the word “settings” in your screen-grab). It has been noted elsewhere in the forums that this is not as ‘obvious’ as it was in V1. Quote

But it should still be fairly obvious once you notice the downward pointing inverted V icon next to the uppermost PNG item, indicating that it is popup menu, just like quite a few of the items below it, like for Preset, Resample, etc. It does need a label though, to make it even more obvious..... GarryP Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 If we can come up with a definition which lets everyone agree on the precise difference between “not as obvious”, “fairly obvious” and “more obvious” then we’ve probably cracked it. I agree about the label though. However, some people didn’t figure out the icons in the V1 Export Dialog, so there will still be a ‘learning curve’ no mater what is done, unless it’s ‘very obvious’ or ‘too obvious’. Quote

If they tried to make everything very obvious, the result would be a horribly cluttered UI with little room left for the project window. Imagine for instance icons the same size as V1's export formats plus text labels for each of them for everything else in the UI that currently has just an inverted V icon indicating it is a popup menu.
