cwoodhou
I have a 200-page book comprising 20 chapters - trying to export the book causes a crash (2.03, OSX 12.6.2, 40GB memory). Happens every time.
Staff Jon P Posted January 6, 2023 Staff Share Posted January 6, 2023 Are you able to upload the book and chapters so we can look at reproducing this? You can use this link if you'd like to keep it private Quote Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com
cwoodhou
I cannot risk the book before publishing. I’ll try and reproduce on something arbitrary and share that. Thanks
Staff Jon P Posted January 6, 2023 Staff Share Posted January 6, 2023 It may help to export each chapter individually, if I was to guess it will be something in one of the chapters causing it, but obviously without seeing it it's hard to narrow down Quote Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com
cwoodhou
I’ll do that first, chapter by chapter and report back
cwoodhou
Well, it does not take much to crash it. Took first two chapters that I could export successfully as PDF. Put them together in a book and it crashes. I think it might be because some of the linked EPS were created in Designer V1.x . Re-creating the EPS fixed it for the two-chapter test. I have 200 illustrations....
cwoodhou
... well I think it is working. I had already had to re-do most of the designer files due to a V2.0 bug that caused linked files to vanish - just managed to export book so far to a 300 MB PDF. Still quite unstable overall - hope it improves before I hit my publishing deadline. Jon P
