Godlessape Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 I bought affinity 1 in sept for my ipad pro 11". I love it! Now I have upgraded to an ipad 12.9" and had to reinstall all the apps. Affinity is now affintiy2. So I paid for the new version but when I try open the app it still tells me I dont have a license. Even tho I tap on "view account" from that screen and it takes me to my account which has the V2 license paid up and "available"....what am I missing? Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Where did you buy your license? Can you show us a screenshot of your Account where it shows you have a license? (Feel free to obscure email addresses or order numbers.) Godlessape Posted December 29, 2022 Author Posted December 29, 2022 turns out I bought the universal license which is for mac. I only use affinity on iPad so I dont need the universal one but when I followed the link (from the ipad app - thinking I needed to log into my account) there was no option for just the ipad version so I assumed the universal one was the one I needed, I dont see why the ipad version is not shown as an option...? I dont want to now have to buy the ipad version as well on top of the more expensive version Ive just erroneously paid for that I wont use. Hoping I will get reimbursed...:p Quote

Because Apple only allows purchase of iPad apps from the iPad App Store. Your Universal license would allow you to install macOS apps, Windows apps, or the iPad apps. So if you want to keep the Universal license you can use it for your iPad apps. Or if you bought the license from Serif, within 14 days, you could return it for a refund by contacting affinityreturns@serif.com and asking for it. If you want to keep it, and use if for the iPad, you can follow the instructions in the FAQ: Godlessape 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
