max1josef Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 Think of a document with 2 sections, with the page numbers start with 1 in each section: Section 1 (named "Table of contents"), page 1 to page 4 Section 2 (named "Main part"), page 1 to page 80 I want to define a footer like this: Table of contents, page 2 (page 2 abolute) Main part, page 3 (page 7 absolute) I know how to get the section name and section page number, but how can I refer to the absolute page number? h_d Posted December 25, 2022 Posted December 25, 2022 As far as I can see, you can either display the absolute page numbers or the section page numbers, but not both. Checking Continue page numbering in Section Manager displays absolute page numbers: But that unchecks Restart page numbering at, so you couldn't display the section page numbers at the same time. I came to the same conclusion, therefore I was hoping that there is a field "absolute page" in addition to "page". If there isn't such a thing, maybe Serif can implement this in future versions (after the workload following the new major releases decreases). Quote
