René V. Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 I've just installed Affinity Photo 2, and tried to open the SVG files that I've been previewing earlier on today in Affinity Photo 1. Strangely enough, I now get an error message: 'Failed to open file [...] A temporary document file could not be created' If I open these files in Affinity Designer 2, the problem does not occur. Could someone please resolve this, as I would very much like to use Photo as my main preview tool, and it's the easiest one to work with for me? 1a.svg 1c.svg Quote
René V. Posted December 22, 2022 Author Posted December 22, 2022 P.S. I just discovered what caused the problem. When I tried to open a JPG with Photo 2 for the first time, it got intercepted by the 'AVG Internet Security' app, which marked it as 'Suspicous activity'. Once I whitelisted the action, the JPG was opened correctly, and I could then also open the attached SVG. Strangely enough, AVG did not kick up a similar pop-up when I first tried to open the SVG files and got an error message. So issue resolved, but it might be good to display it here anyway, in case other users with a similar configuration run into the same problem. Pauls and IPv6 2 Quote
