I think you're saying you're not able to select the text object because Designer is selecting a nearby text object. That is a known bug in 2.0 and improvements have been made in the 2.0.3 beta so look for a fix in the next update. >2- When I right-align the text, I can't leave spaces. That is the way artistic text has always worked in Affinity - trailing spaces, those typed at the end of a line, don't affect justification. I agree it shouldn't work that way but it's just the way it is. In Publisher you could draw a text frame and then trailing spaces would of course indent the text from the right edge but the Text Frame tool doesn't exist in Designer. One workaround would be to type a period instead of a space at the right end, which would justify the text the way you want, and then make the period white or whatever background colour you're using.
