Ken Nelson
As a fairly new user, editing is a trial and error, iterative process. For example, I might start with exposure, contrast, and saturation but don't immediately know how much for each one. Once I get the desired result it would be nice to save the final changes as a macro. Is there a way to do that? If not, is it on a list for a future release? walt.farrell
Are you working with RAW files, in the Develop Persona, or with already developed files such as JPG, TIFF, or PNG in the Photo Persona? Ken Nelson
This would be for RAW. I shoot both but rarely use the RAW because JPEG is fine. But if I want to use RAW more often I need a way to apply a basic set of changes -- just like I set my camera to do. For example, slightly increased saturation and contrast for landscapes. But the same concept of saving a set of edits as a macro should still be technically possible. The changes per layer and order of the layers should be convertible into a macro. walt.farrell
Thanks, @Ken Nelson. With V2, this technique looks promising: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
