Wings Tanar
MacBook Pro, Catalina 10.15.7, LG Ultrafine Second Monitor. Running AP 2 in single screen mode on laptop (i.e.second monitor not being used by AP 2). Click anywhere on second monitor screen (hey - multitasking - wow) and any undocked panels disappear from laptop screen. Click on laptop screen and panels reappear. Not a major issue, but REALLY annoying. (These are the same panels that stay visible when AP 2 is 'closed' using the red button and only go when AP 2 is really closed using 'quit'.) MikeTO
There's no need for two monitors, it works the same way on a single monitor. This is actually the Macintosh way, only the parent window for an app stays visible when the app is in the background, all secondary windows are hidden automatically. You can see the same thing in Apple's own apps. For example, open the Info panel in Photos - it's very similar to an Affinity panel. Now make another app active and Photo's Info panel disappears. The same is true for Adobe apps like Photoshop.
