Matthew Dickerson
I seem to be getting a lot of incorrect kerning in both Affinity V1 & 2, the Text/Font has not had kerning modified and should look like how it does in Pages (bottom Right in example photo), I tried the font in other software - photoshop and illustrator and it looks like the Pages example. Matthew Dickerson
There seems to be no kerning applied at all in the affinity apps. All the letters are bunched together.. MikeTO
I can't duplicate this, it looks correct for me. But note that in my screenshot the font is SF Pro Text and not just SF Pro. Which SF Pro fonts are in your font dropdown? The basic set is SF Pro Text, SF Pro Rounded, and SF Pro Display. I'm surprised to see SF Pro without one of these suffixes in your screenshot. Which version of macOS are you on? kenmcd
The "SF Pro" font is a variable font. Matthew Dickerson

kenmcd
The static SF Pro Text Black should be the same as what you were attempting. And it should work. 🙂 MikeTO and Matthew Dickerson 1
dia-21534
I can confirm that using variable fonts doesn't work, I had problems with my kerning in designer and publisher too. Using the not variable version of the font and everything is normal now! I'm on Mac Ventura and Affinity Publisher 2.0.3 right now
