I am a leather worker and am wanting to use Designer V2 to start making digital patterns (with stitching holes). I have been struggling to find the best way to create a seam allowance along with accurate hole punching marks (I use stitching chisels to create each hole in the leather). As far as I know, I can use the contour tool to create a 1/8in. offset to my pattern and then make that offset into a stroke that has a dashed line. What I can't yet do is accurately space the dash to be the correct width for the chisels I have (6mm spacing). I know Illustrator is able to enter unit measurements for dash spacing, but what I understand is that Designer uses ratios of the stroke width (pnts). Am I correct in this or is there a way for me to accurately create holes 6mm apart from each other that follows a path?

Change the Preference in User Interface to have the Show Lines in Points unchecked. Then you set your line to one mm in width and have the dashes be 0 and 6 for the space. Use Round caps and the 0 length will translate into a 1 mm dot and then you'll have 6 mm space.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
