missing strokes when exporting to pdf and when I try expanding strokes. Affinity Designer v1 windows

I tried copy pasting these strokes to illustrator only to see that the points of the stroke are missing just like when I export to pdf of expand the stroke.

I found the solution: stroke was set to dash line style. However this brings another problem. why was the dash line style not visible in the design?

If you could supply a copy of your document it can be looked at to see if it's something that needs to be improved.
