M.R.E.
I'm not sure if this is a bug or design choice, but when in portrait mode on the iPad, the command controller doesn't launch when you press the button in the toolbar. At least it doesn't on mine. It works fine in landscape mode, just not in portrait. Just a heads up. Respectfully, M.
Staff Gabe Posted November 18, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 18, 2022 Hi @M.R.E. What iPad model/screen size have you got?
M.R.E.
Thanks for the reply, it's a 2018 iPad Pro, 12.9 inch (3rd Gen.). Hope this helps. Respectfully, M.
Staff Gabe Posted November 18, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 18, 2022 I've got a 12.9 4th gen, and can't replicate this issue. What happens if you press the button with the controller already showing? Does it close it?
M.R.E.
Here's a screen capture: I engaged the command controller and left it on when I rotated to portrait. No matter how much I zoom out, the controller doesn't appear in portrait. If I turn it off in landscape then rotate and I press the button to launch it, doesn't appear in portrait, but if I leave it and rotate back to landscape, it shows up. BTW, iPadOS 16.1.1 for the OS. Hope this helps, M. IMG_1039.MOV
M.R.E.
Just updated to 2.0.2 (build 1654) and the bug is still present. Edit: some additional information, I tried this in Designer and Photo as well as Publisher (the bug is present in all three apps). If left-hand mode is enabled in the user interface the bug is present, but if I return it to right hand mode, enable the command controller, and rotate to portrait, the controller is visible. See screen capture. Hope this helps, M. IMG_1042.MOV
Staff Gabe Posted November 21, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 21, 2022 Thanks. It is indeed the left handed mode. Issue logged.
