_fluffy
I imported one of my more complicated PSD files and got a bunch of import errors, on what I think are a combination of gradient fills and gradient map adjustment layers: The resulting imported file is indeed missing the gradient map adjustments. walt.farrell
Yes, there are PSD properties and functions not supported by Affinity. _fluffy
Is there a list of the missing functions, and are there any plans to add support for them?
walt.farrell
No list that I know of. And Serif generally does not discuss future plans. My guess is that it would be low priority, and that it's not actively being worked on as there are higher priority functions they want to implement. The PSD format is poorly documented, and has a lot of undocumented proprietary data formats that would take reverse engineering to figure out. And then they might change in the next Photoshop release. So it would certainly be a low priority if I were doing the planning (but I'm not, of course, as I'm just a customer). _fluffy
Hmm, gradient map adjustments have been in Photoshop for ages, though. But they're also not very commonly-used so that's probably not something they came across when building their PSD importer. That said there's probably some other approach I can take to restore them to my documents, like it should be pretty easy to rewrite it as a procedural texture generator. I'll see what I can do about that particular issue.
