Can the app open and remain open if you just click it's icon/start a new blank document? It's then crashing if you then use File > Open and select ANY image format the is crashing apart from if it's a PNG file? Where are the images you're trying to open stored, local folder (Pictures, Documents etc) or external storage/network or cloud? Can you also confirm the version of WIndows you're running and if it's fully up to date. We could also do with getting you to check for some recent crash reports to send in for checking.
