Unable to Activate Multi-user Universal License on Windows

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Are the Activation ID and Activation Password supposed to go into the Email (Affinity ID) and Password fields when activating? When I try to hit the activate button with the information I was given, the button presses but nothing happens and there is no failure message.

The only thing I have been able to determine is that our company name contains a '&' symbol and that may prevent the form from working if that's the right place to put it. If I remove the '&' it does try (I get an activity bar unlike when I try with the right information) but fails as the information doesn't match.

Is there something that I can do to make it work or am I looking in the wrong place?

Thanks!

Isn’t it the Affinity ID that you use - which is the email address you used to log in to the Serif Store to make the purchase?  And that probably doesn’t have the pesky ampersand in it…

Of course, a business account purchase might be slightly different.

That technically does work for my activation, but it doesn't seem like the intention is to share the credentials like that. In the instructions there is the following information to share with other team members:

When the app launches, use the following credentials:

Activation ID: [Business Name]
Activation Password: [License Number]

If I can't find a resolution, I will end up going the user ID route but ideally the other system would work better for internal business documentation purposes.
