Hi,

I have made my own pattern textures to fill shapes and I would like to be able to apply it to multiple shapes whilst maintaining the scale and aspect ratio. I've successfully used it on one shape (through Fill Tool - Type: Bitmap), and then resized it to fit the scale of my design. I then created a style to quickly apply it to many other shapes; however, the aspect ratio of the pattern changes based on the shape. I would like to keep the aspect ratio (and scale) of my pattern consistent every time I apply the style. Is there a way to lock this?

Image attached: the top shape contains the original pattern design, the shapes below have been filled but stretched.

Thank you very much!

Hi @Cattt,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

Unfortunately when creating styles using Bitmap fills, the aspect ratio is not retained when reapplying that Style to a new object, my sincerest apologies.

However I can certainly see the benefits of this tool allowing for this - and therefore I am logging this with our developers now, to be considered for a future update.

I hope this helps!
