Designer Crashing when I try to replace or place images. But only sometimes...

Hi there!

I have encountered a strange bug with Affinity Designer. It first occurred when I was trying to replace an image in a document I have been working on for a long time and the program crashed. After some troubleshooting, I think I found part of the issue. You see, when I try to place 8 or more pictures at once (it is fine if you do <7), it crashes right away. I spent more time playing around to try to figure it out but I am honestly just more confused.

Anyway, I attached a crash report but I just don't even know what's happening. I've tried a clean install and updating all my drivers. I tried different documents, different image files... yeah not sure what to try anymore.

Thanks in advance, I'm hoping someone can help me out. I found a work around to continue my work but it is still worrying and the work around is limited.

Recent Windows updates has been causing quite a few crashes, you may want to check this thread (below) and see if you have any of them installed

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
