How to layout A5 leaflet made from A4 paper

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'd like to create a leaflet, which will be printed on A4 paper directly from Affinity Publisher and then folded to A5 size.

Of course I can create a layout based on A4, but then I have to take care of inner margins and such myself. If I create a layout based on A5, then I cannot really print it on A4 paper.

Is there any way to create a layout in Affinity Publisher that shows me the A5 pages, or shows inner margins on the A4 paper, and then in the end prints on A4 paper?

How would you approach this kind of layout?

Regards, Robert

You should be able to make A5 pages and print to A4 sheets, the control will be in your printer software, so when you go to print the will likely be an option under document layout with presets for a book or booklet. The paper size should be A4. There may be other easier ways than this but this is how I would go about it.

Note the Inner section, Inner left and inner right need to be rotated 180 degrees for my printer to print the document correctly...

the screenshots below are for my printer but take a look at your printer settings to see if you have a similar option.
