Hi, new here. I have been using Affinity Designer since January on a laptop. I have just bought a new laptop and installed AD on there and all went fine with the installation. But every time I highlight a word and type the start of a font name in the font box the program shuts down. If I highlight the word and scroll down the font list I can change fonts successfully. With a long list of fonts, this is a pain and it doesn't do this on my old laptop. Can anyone suggest a fix please?

Hi Clare M

There is currently a known issue caused by the latest Windows updates for Windows 10 & 11. If you have any of the following updates installed please could you try rolling back the update as it should fix this problem.

Windows 11:KB5017264
Windows 10:KB5017262

Thanks
C

@Callum thanks you so much, that did the trick. I did highlight something strange (not AD related). I had copied all of my fonts from the old Windows/Fonts folder to the new one but some of my fonts aren't installed on the new laptop. This is despite the numbers of files appearing to match when copied. I can individually install any that I spot are missing but am probably going to miss some. Do you have any ideas please?
