MS Windows 10 update KB5017262 downloaded automatically a couple of days ago has caused Affinity Photo to not automatically select the correct colour profiles when converting documents between RGB/32(HDR) to say RGB/16 or RGB/8. The global profiles are set correctly but the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 profile is missing when changing from RGB/32 to RGB/16 or RGB/8  and Affinity just hangs there. If you select any other profile, convert to it then try to convert to RGB/16 or RGB/8 the profile suddenly appears in the drop down menu. However, further conversion tests indicate that the profile continues to disappear.

When this Windows update was removed the issue stopped and when I re-installed the update the issue returned. It is now uninstalled and all is well now.

@Paul010156Not something I can reproduce on one of our Windows 10 test systems with that update installed, see the attached screenshot. Can you provide more information on your workflow and perhaps a screen recording.
