MrMustacheDK Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Is it possible to change the colour of purchased assets in Affinity Photo? I recently bought a new pack off Affinity's Website containing smoke and clouds, but all the clouds are black in colour instead of white. So I was wondering if I could recolour them back to white or any colour I would need. I've tried the good old RGB and RGB Hex but nothing seems to work, as I'm most likely doing something wrong or it's simply not possible... Quote
v_kyr Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Welcome to the forum! Since those are probably bitmap images, some pixel based recoloring should usually work for them (...as far as their pixel layers are selected and tweaked accordingly). iconoclast Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 I don't know this package and how the Assets are meant to be used, but you can e.g. simply invert black clouds to white ones by using the Adjustment Layer Filter "Invert". And you can recolour them with the Adjustment Layer Filter "Recolour". Be aware in that case, that to change only the hue of a black cloud will have no effect, You also need to lighten it to grey to be able to recolour it. You can do that with the bottom slider of the "Recolour" Filter. You can also apply black clouds to a background using a Blend Mode like "Subtract" (fine tuning it with the Opacity Slider), so that they will become white. Just check it out. MrMustacheDK 1 Quote
