Hi guys, Gals.

I watched a guy use the pencil tool to colour in a black line shape he was drawing , he was pulling the cursor around inside the shape, but the green was only filling inside the shape he had drawn, even though the cursor was often going outside the shape as he dragged it around to fill. is there a setting to achieve this,

when I try it, the green shape just fills where ever i drawn, without being contained inside the shape i have drawn, please help !! ... Tim

I guess the trick is to have a Layer layer (or a pixel layer or any other layer) nested inside the curve you want to be coloured. Select that layer and start drawing with the pencil, the curve you are drawing will be inside the curve which you want to be coloured. I don't understand why I would want to or need to use this method. I would just select the curve I want filled with a colour and then select a fill colour for it. Seems needlessly complicated, need to create a layer of some sort( if you con't already have one) where it needs to be nested, need to nest the layer need to select the nested layer....

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

It might help understand better what he was doing if you posted a link to the video(?) where you saw this, or if not a video on the web than told us more info about where you saw this.
