Tilde (~) in file names is not supported

Recommended Posts

When importing graphics into the asset catalog of Xcode there is a convention for automatic assignment of sizes and devices when you drag and drop images into the asset catalog. Affinity Designer partly supports that by easily adding @2x and @3x to file names.

These get imported as "Universal" which might be what you need. Sometimes I like to make the iPad images slightly bigger. Xcode distinguishes different devices by the following convention:

iPhone: FileName@2x~iphone

iPad: FileName@2x~ipad

Unfortunately Affinity doesn't allow "~" in file names. Even if it did from what I've found there would be no easy way to append "~ipad" or "~iphone" after @2x.

Would it be possible to add this in the future? Support for "~" in file names and an optional suffix after 2x, 3x etc.
