Rob Latour
I recently purchased a Canon R7 (they were just released for sale a couple days ago) and with it Canon's kit lens for the R7, a Canon RF 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM zoom lens. Affinity does not seem to recognize this new lens for its Lens correction feature. Would like to request support for this lens be included in the next update. Thanks. Staff DWright Posted June 27, 2022 Staff Share Posted June 27, 2022 HI @Rob Latour, Welcome to the forum We use the LensFun database for our lens correction and at the moment they have not added this lens to their database once they have done this you can then download the xl file and place this to the LensProfiles folder for Affinity Photo and the program will then be able to use this lens profile. The list of currently supported lens in the LensFun database can be viewed using the following link. https://lensfun.github.io/lenslist/
Rob Latour
OK - but is lensfun being actively maintained? Their info/news page's ( https://lensfun.github.io/news/ ) last post was from over three years ago - Feb 2019. Also, while there are some RF lenses listed under 'develop' there are appear to be no Canon RF lenses at all in the currently supported list. Rob Latour
Just following up on this ... has there been really no movement on this with Affinity in three years?
