File Export No Longer Working

Recommended Posts

I've been using Affinity Publisher for about two years now and have designed and exported many files without any problems. All of a sudden, the export feature isn't working anymore. I've tried saving various different files in different formats. I can open the Export window and adjust the settings without any problems, but once I hit SAVE, the dialogue box closes, and nothing happens after that. When I try to select Export from the menu again, the application stalls and no longer responds.

I've tried force quitting and relaunching the application. I've also shut down and restarted my computer. I've tried updating Affinity to the newest version. After that, I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Affinity. I'm still experiencing the same issue.

I'm using Affinity on a 2020 MacBook Pro, macOS Monterey 12.0.1. (No updates downloaded or installed in recent days.)

Any advice would be much appreciated. I have several client projects I'm currently working on including one that's almost ready for the printer, so I need to be able to export those files as soon as possible. Thank you!

Seeing as the problem occurred with a laptop computer I have to ask whether or not the MacBook was ever hooked up to a second monitor? It sounds like there is a window opening off-screen for the saving location.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
