Hi :)

I just got the 21H2 version Update for Windows 10 and since then I have been having issues in the Pixel Persona with brush strokes.

They do not show while drawing and only show up once i hover-scribble over them. It does make a difference how zoomed in I am: the further I am zoomed in the less it happens.

Can anyone tell me if this is an Affinity issue or a Windows issue and how to fix it?

Thank you in advance!

Hannah

Hi @ScarletSaphire,

All is working fine here for me on 21H2.

Can you go into Preferences for Affinity and on the Performance section, untick Enable hardware acceleration at the bottom of the windows and close Preferences and you'll be asked to restart Affinity.  Once restarted, try using a brush again and let me know the results :)

Hi thank you for the suggestion I actually already tried that before posting as that seamed to be a common fix but it didn't help :(

But since everything's fine for you it might just be the PC... although I'm having the same issue on my laptop since the update

Still, thank you for the tip :)

Hi @ScarletSaphire,

Are you using a mouse/trackpad or a drawing tablet?

One thing you can try which might help, try starting Affinity with the Control key held down and you'll get asked if you've like to clear some settings, 3 options will be ticked and you can just click on clear.  Affinity will then start as normal, now see if you can replicate the issue :)

Hey Im using a drawing tablet display but i finally found a thread that explains the issue. It seems to be a bug that affinity is having right now when you draw in pixel layers that are inside an other layer. When you move them out the problem no longer occurs.

But thank you for your help!
