Affinity - Save failed because the file path that given was not valid.

I keep getting this error message:" "Failed to save document: <Untitled> Save failed because the file path that given was not valid."

Anyone got any ideas?

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

Where are you trying to save the file? Are you trying to save to an external drive/NAS that's not available or something similar?

Maybe the path uses some invalid symbol/character...

I'm just trying to save to my hard-drive. It was working Ok but now neither designer nor photo want to save. Other progs are working OK... I tried fixing permissions but no effect.

This error can only happen if the front end has generated an empty path string.  In theory, it's impossible.... but clearly that assumption isn't right.

 

Can you give me a detailed description of what you are doing. Where you are trying to save, file names, how you created your document. Thanks.
