Cutting out a section

Hi,

I have 4 circles and one line. I want to cut where the red lines are and create a v shape with the horizontal lines in tact. The second pic is how I want it to look. I would like that to be a stand alone object. 

I'm a little lost between grouping and combining. When I group, I cannot use the node tool to create breaks where I want them.

When i combine, I lost the middle line.

I hope this make sense.

Hi @BHIP,

I'd recommend adding nodes along your red indicator lines, then multi selecting these nodes and using the 'Break curve' option on the context toolbar to achieve this.
