Hi there community,

so I'm having this constant problem which is quite annoying. It happens mostly when I'm drawing with my Wacom and it goes something like this:

- I have a layer, where I'm willing to draw, selected.

- I press ALT to get the color picker working and pick up a color.

- Affinity photo selects a different layer by itself.

This is annoying because if I'm not paying attention I start drawing on other layers. Or even worse it rasterizes layers.

It also happens sometimes if I press a shortcut to select a tool (for example pressing B for brush).

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem.

Hi Shiwei,

Welcome to the forums :)

This behaviour certainly sounds odd! If possible could you provide a screen recording demonstrating this issue?

Thanks

Hi Callum,

thanks for replying. It took me a bit to replicate the problem, since I'm still not sure when it happens or not.

In the attached video:
- with Move tool I select a layer
- then I change the layer to a different place in the layers panel
- I press key "b" to switch to brush and start drawing
- selected layer changes to a different one and brush tool wasn't activated

Hope this makes it clearer.
