Recommended Posts

Just updated my affinity designer to the last version 1.10.5 and now I cannot print anymore. Each time I try the application quit without any warning... This is very annoying. Is there a fix for that issue yet?

Just done a test print from Designer 1.10.5 on macOS 12.2.1 (iMac) which printed without any issues.

Can you try the steps below and then see if you can print from Affinity:

  1. Go into the Notes app or TextEdit and type anything
  2. Select to Print > Presets > Show Presets > Tick the box to Reset Presets Menu to "Default Settings" After Printing
  3. Continue to print
  4. Now launch Affinity Designer > Open a document > Select Print
  5. If it hasn't crashed > Select printer settings manually and not "Last Used Settings" > Continue to print
  6. Select Print again > Untick the reset option listed above

So far, this version is the worst for me, it just crash 50% of the time without warning, sometime I was doing something else and come back, the program quit and I am not even aware. Very disappointed because I have more than 20 years of working experience in the field and this is not acceptable, I have no issues with my hardware, running 3D and other programs without problem.

The very first version is the best, I don't need the fancy stuff, now its is so annoying.
