Blank UI on M1 MacOS 12.3 with Affinity Photo 1.10.5

Recommended Posts

Affinity Photo 1.10.5 on my M1 Mac, OS version 12.3 never shows any UI.  The menus work, and the startup popup works, but the actual interface never appears (see screenshot).  I do not have this issue in Designer, however.  I've attempted all the standard things (restart the computer, check for updates, etc.) and also attempted to launch in Rosetta.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

Possibly you do not have any documents open, and you have chosen to hide the User Interface, You could do that by either using the menu View > Toggle User Interface or by pressing its default keyboard shortcut key, Tab.

If you press Tab, does that bring things back?

I have the same issue.  The red, yellow, and green buttons do not appear on the upper left of the screen.  This is true with a document open or no document open.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling publisher but that did not help.  I do not have this issue with designer or photo.

Can you show us a screenshot?

Sorry for the delayed response, I didn't see the notification.  That said, thank you for this incredible tip!  That fixed it.  I greatly appreciate the help!!
